作曲家馮馮沉默寡言，生性害羞及謙虛，平時深居簡出，不喜在公開場合亮相。時而被喻為「最神秘的作家/作曲家」。

早年孩提時代生活艱苦，馮馮從小藉著粗重的勞力工作負擔家計，照顧著慈愛的母親，移民加拿大後從事自由創作寫作，其天賦之優異於十六歲時即獲奧地利最佳小說獎可見一斑，寫作方面之成就結束了他辛苦的勞力工作。

才氣縱橫的馮馮不僅在寫作上享有盛譽，其音樂方面的天賦亦不可略。他以自己摸索的方式學習音樂，積極努力。於1988年開始寫曲。1989年，他為現代佛教音樂完成為時2小時之作品《佛教現代聖樂》，然而此首次創作在剛開始並未受到矚目，直至1991年在中國大陸北京由北京中國愛樂交響樂團演奏並收錄，此革命性宗教聖樂撼動人心，馮馮的作品遂開始受到各界的重視及讚歎，馮馮的音樂方面的才華至此終受大眾的肯定支持。

1991年於美國洛杉磯，古道熱腸的馮馮為慈濟醫院募款義演，在合唱團的合聲下演唱個人創作之優美聖詩，此項慈濟義演吸引了數萬名聽眾共襄盛舉，馮馮隨和優雅的氣質亦受到聽眾熱烈的歡迎與喜愛。

馮馮於1993年創作了他的《D短調第一號鋼琴協奏曲》，於1994年亦由北京中國愛樂交響樂團演奏並收錄，此曲得到各界熱烈的迴響，馮馮並被喻為當今“柴可夫斯基”。

1994年於臺北，對公益活動不遺餘力的馮馮由國際獅子會贊助，為籌募孤兒救濟基金舉辦個人慈善義演，由臺北世紀交響樂團及合唱團共240人協助伴奏合聲。這位名作曲家兼男中音歌手吸引了近四萬名聽眾前來聆賞其優美作品，後更被冠以「優雅王子」之雅號。

1995年，馮馮完成其《E短調第一號小提琴協奏曲》《牧神之夜》，兩作品皆於同年由北京中國愛樂交響樂團演奏及收錄。馮馮非凡的作品廣受音評家及聽眾們的喜愛，「天才作曲家」之名尾隨而至。

同年，名鋼琴家蕭唯真小姐於臺灣的二家大電視網演奏馮馮之《第二號夜曲》，受到觀眾的熱烈迴響。馮馮於同年完成《中國西北舞曲》，並以作品《E短調第二號鋼琴協奏曲》紀念史上名作曲家愛德華·葛力克（Edvard Grieg）及安東尼，德弗札克（Antonin Dvorak）。爾後，馮馮由希臘神話故事激發靈感創作出動人之新夢幻印象派作品《水仙少年》。

　

Peter Faun is a rising star in the horizon of Neo-classical music. Peter Faun taught himself to become an amateur composer with determination and painstaking tenacity. He was raised by his uneducated single mother in extreme poverty. Peter had intermittent schooling up to Grade 5. He was unable to read any musical scores or play any musical instrument, yet his love for music lingered.

His early compositions of Songs for Poetry (1989) failed to find a place in the music circles in Canada and the United States of America. Eventually, his first major composition The Lotus Blossoms Symphony and Chorus Suite was recorded by the Central Orchestra of Beijing china in 1991.

Subsequently, his new works Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Piano Concerto No. 2 in E minor, and Violin Concerto No. 1 in E minor were all recorded by the Central Orchestra in Beijing under its chief conductor Mr. Hu Bing-xu. Peter Faun’s music has been compared to Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Dvorak because of its elements of Romanticism.

Peter Faun surprised the music world even more with his latest new compositions of Impressionism and Romanticism combined, namely, Night of a Faun, Narcissus, and Snow Lily. These three fantasies were recorded by the Russian Federal Orchestra under the baton of Chief Conductor Maestro Vakhtang Jordania in Moscow in December of 1996 and January 1997 as world premieres. The Moscow Ballet performed the world premieres at the Moscow Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet in October 1997.

Peter Faun received an honorary Doctorate in Composition by the Kharkov Philharmonic Institute of Music of Ukraine in April 1997. Peter Faun, the mysterious Canadian composer, has risen high above his impoverished childhood as an illiterate in classical music to become a rising super nova in Neo-classical music. Peter Faun has been predicted to become one of the important composers of our time.
